The Freelancer and Contractor Services Association (FCSA)

Umbrella Company UK is proud to be an accredited Freelancer and Contractor Services Association (FCSA) member. The FCSA is the UK’s leading professional body dedicated to ensuring the supply chain of temporary workers complies with HMRC’s rules and regulations. To obtain FCSA accreditation, we were required to undergo a series of audits and assessments to ensure our processes adhere to the FCSA’s struct Codes of Compliance (available here).

Having successfully obtained FCSA membership, we must undergo an annual review to ensure we remain compliant and provide our employees with transparent and ethical payroll.

While most UK-based umbrella companies provide a reliable service, there are still unscrupulous tax avoidance schemes out there, putting contractors and freelancers at risk of non-compliance. The FCSA is helping set compliance standards in the sector, and contractors and freelancers should only consider using an umbrella for their payroll with FCSA accreditation.
